Trafalgar Birdhaven is in search of an experienced Trust Creditors Clerk to join their dynamic team at the Birdhaven branch.

The primary focus of the Trust Creditors Clerk is to effectively process all trust creditor payments. To accomplish 24-hour turnaround time together with world class service and first-time right approach continuously. Balancing of Reserve funds and transferring of Surplus funds

Minimum Experience required:-

  • Matric
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a trust creditors clerk
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Basic Accounting Skills

Responsibilities include:-


  • Creditors Payments (Ad-hoc, Legal, Deposit Payments)
  • Analyse the invoice details and ensure that all information required is stated & captured
  • Checking that Approvals from trustees/directors are attached for specific payment
  • As per above – check that signed resolution is in place to pay monthly invoices
  • Assisting with all payment related queries, sending remittances and payment breakdowns
  • Review the legal invoice and allocate same against the unit.
  • Creating new supplier numbers for all new creditors
  • Downloading all statements, capture on spreadsheet to be recovered on levy statements and payment of all accounts
  • Paying all municipal accounts from Investec
  • Maintenance Reserve Transfers
  • Month End surplus transfers from Trust to Call
  • Export reporting from Unibase – Pm’s to advise on transfer of Reserve Maintenance Funds
  • Daily transfers to and from Investec/Nedbank Corporate Saver
  • Opening of New Investec accounts, ensuring all FICA docs are in place
  • Fixed Investment and Notice period accounts – sending out transaction history statements and bank confirmation letters
  • Capture Receipts for BC Refunds as per Schedule from HR
  • Capture meeting costs as per schedule from RFM
  • Std Bank verification reports on new creditors and Unit refund Individuals – Indexing of business payments
