MOTOR CYCLE INSURANCE

Our motor cycle insurance covers any motor cycle or scooter (with or without a side car). 

COMPREHENSIVE COVER 
Covers you against loss of or damage to the motor cycle or any part thereof is lost or damaged.  
Included in the policy is the following: 

Protection and Repair 
If insured loss or damage occurs we will pay the reasonable cost of protection and removal of the vehicle to the nearest repairer. You may authorise repairs to the vehicle up to R2 000 without our consent provided a detailed quotation is immediately given to us. 
 

Delivery after repair 
After repair to insured damage we will pay the reasonable cost of delivering the vehicle to your address in the Republic of South Africa. 

Medical expenses 
In the event of an accident caused by or in connection with the vehicle we will indemnify you against all sums including claimant’s costs and expenses for which you become legally liable for such as death of or bodily injury to any person or damage to property. 

We will pay costs and expenses incurred with our written consent. We may arrange for representation at any inquiry into death the defence of criminal proceedings arising from any act related to an indemnifiable event.  

Repatriation Clause 
If an insured vehicle is damaged outside the Republic of South Africa, the Insured will be responsible for the repatriation cost thereof, unless New National has specifically approved the opposite in writing.

THIRD PARTY FIRE & THEFT 

Indemnity to You – Loss of or damage to the vehicle is restricted solely to loss or damage resulting from fire, self-ignition, lightning or explosion by theft or any attempt thereat.
